I lost a night of work on the house last night due to dart league and the Phillies winning the World Series...which I should totally do a post about cos I have some great pics.
So we headed back tonight for more. We actually got most of the wallpaper down in the Dining Room. There's just the paper behind the pipes and radiator. I work on that tomorrow while I hand out candy to the trick or treaters that I really hope we get. I love Halloween.

Here's some pics.
Here's TQ working.
Aside from that, tonight we also pulled up the rest of the tack strips that were left from the carpet pull-up.

Update.

So as Mr. Dave has mentioned several times, I have not been doing anything with this blog lately. There has just been nothing to write about. Now since my manpanion (TQ) and I have bought a house, I will be writing about that.

We got an awesome house in a great location BUT of course it requires some work...I will attempt to document some of that here. I'm not going to say all that much tonight tho...I'm too tired from ripping up carpet and ripping down wallpaper. This is the carpet after it was ripped up...on top of the carpet mound is our new cat, Nico NoNo. She came with the house (with a different name, of course...who else but TQ and I would name a cat something so ridiculous).
This is the mound of wallpaper that we tore down tonight.

Also tonight, TQ installed a new programmable thermostat.

Here he is working on it.Here is the finished product.

Ok, must sleep now.

Tasty sandwich I made last night.

Went to the Troy Farmer's Market on Saturday morning with my dad...I would have gone with my boyfriend but he does not like to wake up early and really has little interest in walking around looking at food.

My dad and I split a locally baked whole wheat baguette so I decided that I would need to make some sandwiches on my awesome panini grill. Also at the farmers market I purchased some leeks so those would have to go in the sandwich too. I figured that caramelizing the leeks would be the best move, so I did that. I brushed the bread with olive oil, threw on some basil, prosciutto, genoa salami, the leeks, sliced homegrown roma tomatoes and fontina cheese and then chucked them into the panini grill.

While I used little of the salami and prosciutto, I still feel like the sandwich was too salty and needed something else to even that out a bit. The fontina was delicious and I feel I need to use it more frequently.

I made tasty pizza

I'm really just writing this for myself.

I made some awesome pizza tonight and I would like to remember it. I didn't do anything special but I really enjoyed it.

So I lamed out and just bought a really good thin pizza crust cos I don't have a pizza stone and didn't feel like doing the whole dough thing. I brushed the whole thing with e.v. olive oil, and then sprinkled some oregano, basil and grated parmesan cheese over that. Then I added the sauce, mozzarella cheese, prosciutto, genoa salami, crumbled sweet italian sausage, homegrown cherry tomatoes, sliced white mushrooms, and then sprinkled more parmesan cheese on top.

It was yummy...you know you want some.
